I have fond memories of my father taking me quail hunting when I was young and I will always remember how the quail would suddenly rise up unexpectedly out of the grass in front of us. I wanted to use this scene to depict scripture "I watch in hope for the Lord". I painted other quail paintings in the same colors, size and frames. " Free"is the one I designed to pair with this one.
This oil painting is on a canvas panel and is framed in a dark espresso 1.5" frame trimmed in gold. It is varnished, signed on the front and the back and wired for hanging.
