About the Artist
SANDRA L HARRIS FINE ART
Biography
PURE RADIANCE
Sandra Harris is a Christian artist and follower of Jesus. Her main purpose in life is to create God's beauty. She has been an artist all her life. First she was an interior designer and then a landscape designer and today she is a fine artist. I want to create God's beauty that I see all around me, from landscapes, sunsets, wildlife, domestic animals and birds.
Recently she has decided to focus on domestic animals and wildlife. She has loved all kinds of animals from early childhood. She has owned many dogs and cats, birds, sheep, horses, chickens, fish and even 2 pet crows named Heckel and Jeckel. She trained them to come home to their cage each night after freeing them.
Her focus now is portraits of dogs and cats. Pet owners love their animals like a member of their family and she wants to give them something to treasure now and after they are gone.
Harris majored in art at the University of Mississippi and earned a BA degree in art at the Watkins College of Art and Design in Nashville, Tennessee. She has studied under many fine artists locally in the Nashville, Tn are and through out the United States.
Harris currently resides in Brentwood, Tennessee, where she continues to be inspired by nature and her many travels. Her paintings are a recording of a memorable fleeting moment of time from her personal experiences, whether they are of animals or landscapes.
She invokes the viewer to experience her joy of the natural world with her signature use of color and light that she has coined
"PURE RADIANCE".
